IV Drip Pricing
Formulas are selected after a short medical review. Pricing starts at ฿999 per session; the exact formula and price is confirmed by your doctor at consultation.
What an IV drip does and what it does not
Taken orally, many vitamins are partially broken down in the gut and liver before reaching the bloodstream. Intravenous delivery bypasses that, so blood levels rise far higher and faster.
We want to be straightforward about what this means. An IV drip can correct a deficiency quickly, rehydrate you and deliver antioxidants at concentrations oral supplements cannot reach. It is genuinely useful for fatigue, recovery, travel exhaustion and dull, dehydrated skin.
It is not a treatment for any disease, it will not replace sleep or a reasonable diet, and the skin-brightening effect of glutathione is gradual, modest and reverses when you stop. Any clinic promising dramatic permanent whitening from a drip is overselling it.
Who it suits — and who should avoid it
Suitable for people with fatigue or burnout, frequent travellers with jet lag, those recovering from illness, people with poor dietary absorption, and those wanting antioxidant support for dull skin.
Not suitable for people with kidney disease or impaired renal function, heart failure or fluid overload, G6PD deficiency (which rules out high-dose vitamin C), pregnancy without specialist clearance, or a known allergy to any component. A doctor reviews your history before any drip is prepared.
What to expect
A doctor reviews your medical history and selects the formula. A nurse inserts a fine cannula, usually in the forearm, and the drip runs over 30 to 45 minutes while you sit in a private recliner. You can use your phone or work throughout.
A cool sensation along the vein and a mild metallic taste are common and harmless. Tell staff immediately if you feel lightheaded, itchy or short of breath.
Aftercare
- Keep the plaster on for 2 hours and avoid lifting heavy objects with that arm for a few hours.
- Drink plenty of water for the rest of the day.
- Mild bruising at the cannula site is normal.
- Most people have a drip every 2 to 4 weeks; your doctor will advise frequency.
- Contact us for spreading redness, swelling or pain at the site, which may indicate irritation of the vein.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much is an IV drip in Chiang Mai?
At Veluxe Clinic IV drip therapy starts at ฿999 per session. The exact formula and final price are confirmed by your doctor after a short health review.
How long does it take?
Typically 30 to 45 minutes. You can relax, read or work on your laptop during the session, and there is no downtime afterwards.
Will it make my skin whiter?
Glutathione-based drips can give a gradual, modest brightening and improved clarity, but the effect is not dramatic and it reverses once you stop. We would rather tell you that than overpromise. Daily sun protection makes a far bigger difference to skin tone.
Is it safe?
When prescribed and supervised by a doctor after a medical review, yes. The important safety step is the review itself — certain conditions such as kidney disease and G6PD deficiency make some formulas unsafe, which is why we never skip it.
