Laser Hair Removal Prices — Every Area
Hair grows in cycles and the laser only disables follicles in the active growth phase, so a course of 6 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart is needed for lasting results. Single-session and 6-session package prices are both shown.

How diode laser works and why you need several sessions
The laser emits a wavelength absorbed by melanin in the hair shaft. That energy converts to heat and damages the follicle so it can no longer produce hair.
At any moment only about 20 to 30 percent of your hair is in the active growth (anagen) phase, and only those follicles can be disabled. The rest are dormant and invisible to the laser. This is why a single session never works permanently, regardless of what any clinic promises — you need to catch each follicle during its own growth phase, which is why sessions are spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
After a full course most people retain a small amount of fine, light regrowth and return for a top-up once or twice a year.
Who it suits — and who should avoid it
Suitable for most people. Modern diode lasers with contact cooling work safely across a wide range of skin tones, with settings adjusted for darker skin.
Works poorly on white, grey, red or very fine blonde hair — there is not enough melanin for the laser to target.
Not suitable for pregnancy, active infection or open wounds in the area, recent sunburn or heavy tanning, anyone who has taken isotretinoin in the last 6 months, or those with a history of keloid scarring in the area.
Before and after your session
Before: shave the area 1 day beforehand — do not wax, pluck or use epilation for 4 weeks, as the laser needs the follicle intact. Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 2 weeks.
During: you will feel brief warm snaps. Underarms take about 5 minutes; full legs 45 to 60 minutes.
After: mild redness and slight bumps around the follicles for a few hours is normal. Treated hairs shed over 1 to 3 weeks — this looks like regrowth but is the hair being expelled.
Aftercare
- Cool compress if the area feels hot. No hot showers for 24 hours.
- Avoid sauna, steam, swimming pools and intense exercise for 48 hours.
- No deodorant on treated underarms for 24 hours.
- Do not scrub or exfoliate for 5 days. Let shedding hairs fall out naturally.
- Daily SPF on any exposed treated area for 2 weeks.
- Between sessions you may shave, but never wax or pluck.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much is laser hair removal in Chiang Mai?
At Veluxe Clinic underarms start at ฿299 per session or ฿999 for six. Lower legs are ฿699 per session or ฿4,999 for six. Brazilian is ฿1,399 per session or ฿7,999 for six. Every area and package price is listed in the table above.
How many sessions do I need?
A course of 6 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart is standard, because only 20 to 30 percent of follicles are in the active growth phase at any one time. Most people then return for a top-up once or twice a year.
Is it permanent?
The correct term is permanent hair reduction. A full course removes the large majority of hair permanently, but most people retain some fine, light regrowth that is managed with occasional maintenance sessions.
Does it hurt?
Far less than waxing. The handpiece is cooled, so you feel a warm snap rather than a sharp pull. Sensitive areas such as the bikini line and upper lip are more noticeable than legs or arms.
Can I shave between sessions?
Yes, shaving is fine and in fact required before each session. Never wax, pluck or epilate between sessions — the laser needs the follicle and hair root intact to work.
